Sediment filter reduces large particles to protect the other cartridges. The carbon filter utilizes coconut shell solid block activated carbon to protect the RO membrane from harsh chlorine and other chemicals. The RO reverse osmosis membrane reduces harmful particulates and impurities in water down to 0.0001 micron, including total dissolved solids (TDS), heavy metals, sodium chloride, copper, chromium, lead, and more. The final stage is a DI deionization filter.
DI cartridge employs mixed-bed, indicator resin for enhanced filtration of TDS (total dissolved solids). A 2:3 ratio of cation and anion resins assists in near complete reduction of ions from water including sodium, sulfate, copper, and more. Color-changing green media turns purple when exhausted, letting you know it’s time for a cartridge changeout. Deionization filtration produces pure water faster, more efficiently, and more affordably than distillation.
